I have been working in the past weeks on a private client’s project with a very specific brief: To bring western contemporary art and Indian heritage together as the starting point of the collection. I will feature the final project on due time. For now, I’d love to share the exciting discovery of the most liberated, intuitive and inventive drawings, collages and paintings, I have seen in a long time.
Rosie Vohra (Hertfordshire, UK, 1992) studied at The Royal Drawing School in London after her Fine Art degree. The bold and rich colours of her works on paper are not mere lively compositions. The juxtaposition of patterns, abstract lines, rich flat impasto and figurative collage create a dense rhythm and a rewarding process for the viewer, who savours the surreal and innocent but highly sophisticated associations. Many of these drawings and collages come right our of Vohra’s sketch book, which speaks of her instinctive and fast process. I cannot wait to see these on the wall!
Works on paper range from £200 – 900. For enquiries, to discuss your personal needs or for the availability of these and other artworks that you find on the website, please contact marina@inigoart.com
